Working remotely doesn’t always mean supplying your own equipment or figuring everything out alone. Among surveyed Hawai‘i businesses offering remote positions, 82% provide computer software and 75% provide hardware. Support also includes onboarding or new employee training at 73% of these businesses and job-specific technical training at 58%.

When considering a remote role, ask what equipment and training the employer provides so you know what support to expect.

Ho‘omaika‘i, Aislen! 🎉

Aislen Bacalso is taking on a new role with the DHHL Broadband Program as Broadband Coordination Assistant.

A 2020 graduate of Kamehameha Schools Kapālama and current Global MBA student at UH Mānoa, Aislen’s work at DHHL includes supporting telehealth programs and preparing for the distribution of laptops to charter schools across DHHL’s pae ‘āina, helping more keiki and ʻohana access the tools they need to learn, connect and thrive.
