Curtains are lowered, the lights are going out, and we’re done.

It’s been a wild 3 years, and my service on this board is done. I don’t regret it, it was worth the sacrifice, and I’m proud of what we did.

God’s leading doesn’t always make sense in the moment, but man, is He faithful. Thank you for allowing me to be a voice in the darkness, and to fight for you. It was a privilege ❤️

It’s your turn to take the torch and run with it, so do it!

Sometimes it’s good to reset, and go back to the beginning.

That’s me in 2021, with kids in KISD, begging the leaders at the time to make the right decision. They didn’t, and some of those very same leaders are still sitting on the board with me.

No, I didn’t run for re-election because I had to make more hard decisions again, like I did back then.

Hard choices aren’t bad choices, they are often what propels you to better things. Make the hard choice.

What are you demanding for next school year concerning tech in the classroom? This is your community, this is your child’s education, demand better.

No, I don’t want to track any child.

I DO however want visibility and accountability on the money that it costs to educate.
Why?

So, we can better anticipate these situations and prevent budget shortfall falls that lead to job losses, and program losses.

I understand it’s a hard issue, that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t discuss it, and do it without being overly emotional. This is your money and your legacy here in Katy that’s being played with. You have to have oversight and accountability to protect it. It’s not ridiculous.

It’s a practical fiduciary responsibility that needs to be accounted for here, and across Texas.
