Wake up, Katy ISD voters!
Are parents smart enough? Some say no. ‹ Red Apple Project Parents “don’t know how to make good choices for their children, they really don’t,” said Ann Laing, Superintendent of Racine Unified School District in Wisconsin. This caught on video this past fall during a panel discussion held at Racine, Wisconsin’s St. Catherine’s High School.
Katy Tea says thank you to Katy ISD BOT members Dr. Bill Proctor and Terry Huckaby for having the courage of their convictions during tonight's Katy ISD BOT Work Study meeting!!!
They walked out before the Open Meeting portion to protest an agenda item that had the BOT voting to extend 2 year contracts to administrators, while not extending the same to teachers, while the 2013/14 state budget will most likely be cut again.

Thanks to everyone who came out and voted AGAINST the bond. Unfortunately, the bond passed, but now we have to hold Katy I$D accountable for how they spend the money. We also have a school board election with three seats that will be vulnerable. Keep talking about it, and spread the message to friends. The countdown to May begins NOW!
We are looking for students who are willing to work at the polls on November 2nd handing out Bond info. We will pay.
