We had a pleasure attending the Special Purpose District Dinner hosted by Commissioner Vincent Morales tonight. It was a beautiful gathering to discuss Fort Bend Precinct 1 as a whole. We do what we do to bring the community together like this event. We gathered all as one. HOAs MUDs and ESDs along with Constable Chad Norvell and other elected officials. On this day we honor those who served in the Vietnam conflict.

The Vietnam War has a long history. It was one of the longest wars involving America. It started in 1955 and went on until 1975. More than 2.7 million Americans served during this war.

National Vietnam War Veterans Day is acknowledged on March 29 every year, honoring anyone who served during its 20-year time. Many who served came back from the battlefield to find no solace, respect, or combat support after the war ended because of the number of deaths.

The day was founded in 2017 to finally offer that respect to everyone involved.
