✨ THE SHINE & TOOLBELT TIMES — OCTOBER IS HERE! ✨

We’re back with another issue of The Shine & Toolbelt Times! 🛠️📖

After celebrating one year of our newsletter last month and opening the doors to our community, we’re keeping the pages turning and giving you another look at what’s happening behind the scenes across Kaufman County Facilities.

Facilities work isn’t always flashy. Sometimes it’s fixing what’s broken, preparing a space before anyone arrives, keeping things moving when plans change, or taking care of the little details that make a big difference.

That’s where the Shine meets the Toolbelt. 🧰✨

📖 Take a look at the October issue of The Shine & Toolbelt Times and see what’s happening behind the scenes!

✨ THE SHINE & TOOLBELT TIMES — NOW SHINING BEYOND OUR COUNTY OFFICES! ✨

For the past year, The Shine & Toolbelt Times has been an internal way for Kaufman County employees to see the projects, accomplishments, and behind-the-scenes work happening across our Facilities Department.

Today, we’re excited to take it outside the walls of the county offices and share it with our community! 🛠️✨

And what better issue to start with than Issue No. 12 — our one-year anniversary edition! 🎉

This month, we’re taking a look at some of the work happening across Kaufman County.

But more than projects and buildings, The Shine & Toolbelt Times is about the people behind the work.

The work of Facilities may not always be the first thing people see, but it is felt throughout Kaufman County every day—in every clean space, repaired door, maintained lawn, successful event, completed project, and problem solved.

So, for the first time, we're sharing our newsletter with you.

📖 Welcome to Issue No. 12 of The Shine & Toolbelt Times!

One year. One team. One heck of a lot of work. ❤️

During the Texas Ice Storm 2026, when the county was closed for three days, our incredible Facilities team went above and beyond. Not only did they clear snow and ice and secure our buildings, but they also escorted team members from their cars to the building and assisted them inside to avoid any remaining icy spots.
