We truly need this information from our members.

Good morning folks, this morning while at city hall had a gentleman advise us about a storm shelter going in. This reminded me of the list we made years ago. It's time to update this list.

It's important the fire knows about them in the event we do have a major tornado we know to be checking these shelters in case a tree or large debris falls on the shelter and entraps you.

So please send us on the messenger, your address and where it's located on the property. We will make all changes and update that list in hopes it's never needed.

ATTENTION EVERYONE! I've slacked and haven't posted about our fish fry. It's THIS Saturday, October 10th, 5pm. Member dues are due for a year, $50. Otherwise the fish is donations if you have some! Come on out!

I'm a little late for this but I want to make sure I say THANK YOU! The fire on Adobe last week was heading in the wrong direction for a while. I called for help and they SHOWED UP! I would have given up being a Fire Chief a long time ago if I didn't have the support of our surrounding departments. THANK YOU TO Newkirk Fire Department/EMS , Kildare Fire Department , River Road Volunteer Fire Department , Kaw City Volunteer Fire Department and Braman Fire department. Also to Daniel Hesson for bringing the drone! I truly appreciate all of you!

OKAY, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! Im positive we have an arsonist that feels the need to start fires along the river! Its been going on for a month now and today he/she hit my side of the river!'If I find out who you are WE WILL PROSECUTE! I just found out that there are cameras that I am looking into. You are putting firefighters in danger! Its over 100°!

Thank you to the voters of Kay County that voted "yes" to the 1/3rd cent sales tax. That has made this possible! Those of us that can fight structure fires can do it with up to date personal protective equipment. This is a $17,000 purchase. Our safety and lives are important too!
