Spiders are easy to spot this time of year, and we get it; they look a little spooky. 🕷️

But every one of Utah’s spider species is highly beneficial to the environment and a predator of the insects that bug us in our gardens and homes. Free pest control, no sign-up required.

Fall is when they’re out looking for mates and a cozy place to spend the winter, which is why a few wander indoors. To keep them outside, seal cracks, add weather stripping around doors and windows, and move firewood piles away from your house.

Those tulips you’re dreaming of? They start now. 🌷

Here’s how to plant spring bulbs this fall:
▪️ Plant two to three times as deep as the bulb is tall.
▪️ Point the nose up and the root plate down.
▪️ Loosen the whole bed to the proper depth, then press bulbs in and cover with soil.
▪️ Plant randomly and try to avoid patterns or rows for a more natural feel.
▪️ Large group plantings of similar colors can make a big impact

Plant now, bloom later.
