To reduce your risk of developing COPD:

1) Stay up to date on immunizations. Two Rivers Public Health Department offers a wide variety of vaccinations, accepting all insurance plans and welcoming patients regardless of insurance status.
2) Practice good hygiene such as regularly washing your hands and coughing/sneezing into your elbow.
3) Take steps for cleaner air like opening windows regularly or investing in an air purifier.

If you do get sick this respiratory season, use precautions such as staying home from work or school and seeking treatment.
