Congratulations to Piper Stolipher on being selected to represent West Virginia at both the National 4-H Club Congress and winning in her division at the Northeast States 4-H Speak Up Fest this fall!
Piper is a sophomore at Washington High School and has been an outstanding example of what it means to be an active, well-rounded 4-H member. She is serving as the Secretary of the Shenandoah Shamrocks 4-H Club, and has served as secretary for both the Jefferson County 4-H Shooting Sports Club and the Jefferson County 4-H Saddle Club, demonstrating her dedication to leadership and service within the 4-H program.
An accomplished competitor, Piper represents Jefferson County at the West Virginia State 4-H Shooting Sports Championships in both air r***e and archery. In 2026, she earned an impressive 10th-place Senior Division finish in both disciplines.
Beyond 4-H, Piper is deeply involved in agricultural education through FFA. She previously served as President of the Charles Town Middle School FFA Chapter, was Secretary of the Washington High School FFA Chapter, and currently serves as President of the Washington High School FFA.
Piper is also passionate about the livestock industry. She raises and exhibits both registered and commercial Boer goats, competing at local, state, regional, and national shows across the country. She has participated on both 4-H and FFA livestock judging teams, earning 1st Place Individual honors and helping lead her middle school Agriscience team to a championship title. She recently placed 3rd overall Intermediate at the Area 3 Regional Junior American Boer Goat Competition in Pennsylvania, and was the Senior Round Robin Champion at the 2026 Jefferson County Fair.
An accomplished public speaker, Piper has earned numerous honors with her speech, "A Field of Dreams: The Crisis of Our Vanishing Agriculture." Her presentation has received top honors in both FFA and 4-H public speaking competitions and earned her a 2nd-place finish in the West Virginia Farm Bureau Flora and Denver Turner Speech Contest. Through her advocacy, she has become a strong voice for the future of agriculture and the importance of preserving our nation's farming heritage.
Whether she's leading her peers, representing Jefferson County in competition, advocating for agriculture, or exhibiting livestock, Piper consistently exemplifies the 4-H pledge through leadership, dedication, sportsmanship, and service. We are incredibly proud of her accomplishments and know she will represent West Virginia with excellence at National 4-H Club Congress and Northeast Speak Up Fest. Congratulations, Piper!
