In May, we notified the community that the watershed supplying our life-sustaining water had recorded its lowest accumulated snowpack on record during the previous winter. The summer outlook offered little relief, and those dry conditions persisted. Governing water agencies officially declared a Drought Level II – Advisory Code Orange, with a severe water storage condition. We asked our customers and community to reduce water use and actively seek conservation opportunities. As the outdoor watering season winds down, we want to share an update on the impact of your efforts.
To date, our community has answered the call, using approximately 10% less water in 2026 than in 2025. Thank you for your efforts—they make a meaningful difference. We encourage you to continue to be conservation minded and ask you to stop watering outdoor landscapes for the season and sign up for our free AMI smart-metering online portal, where you can monitor your water use in real time.
Together, we have successfully managed the challenges of this past summer. We promise our customers, employees, and community that you will always know: “We Care!”

En mayo, informamos a nuestra comunidad que la cuenca hidrográfica que abastece nuestra vital fuente de agua había registrado la acumulación de nieve más baja de la historia durante el invierno anterior. El pronóstico para el verano ofrecía pocas esperanzas de mejoría, y las condiciones de sequía persistieron. Las agencias responsables de la gestión del agua declararon oficialmente un Nivel II de Sequía – Aviso Código Naranja, con una condición grave de almacenamiento de agua.
Ante esta situación, pedimos a nuestros clientes y a la comunidad que redujeran su consumo de agua y buscaran activamente oportunidades para conservar este valioso recurso. Ahora que la temporada de riego está llegando a su fin, queremos compartir una actualización sobre el impacto de sus esfuerzos.
Hasta la fecha, nuestra comunidad ha respondido al llamado, utilizando aproximadamente un 10 % menos de agua en 2026 en comparación con 2025. ¡Gracias por sus esfuerzos! Su compromiso hace una diferencia significativa.
Los animamos a continuar haciendo un uso responsable del agua y les pedimos que suspendan el riego de jardines y áreas verdes por el resto de la temporada. También los invitamos a registrarse en nuestro portal gratuito en línea de medidores inteligentes AMI, donde podrán monitorear su consumo de agua en tiempo real.

ATTENTION: IMMEDIATE CLOSURE
Kearns Improvement District RV Dump
Effective immediately, the Kearns Improvement District RV dump is closed until further notice due to misuse and abuse of District facilities.
This closure is necessary due to misuse and abuse of District facilities. Unauthorized use and improper disposal practices have caused operational and maintenance concerns that require immediate attention.
Please do not enter or use the RV dump while the closure is in effect. The district will evaluate the facility and determine what steps are necessary before reopening.
We appreciate the community’s cooperation and understanding.
