On to State! On to State!
The KHS volleyball team has punched their ticket to Lewiston and will open as the #2 seed with a 1:00 pm start on Thursday vs #7 Melba.
The KHS cross country team heads to Pocatello for Saturday's state meet after securing another District I-UII championship.
The KMS wrestling team gets their season started on Thursday with a quad match in Bonners Ferry.

Attention senior parents!
Monday October 26th we will have a parent and senior help night in the KHS library from 4:30p.m. to 6:30p.m.
We will be helping any seniors who did not complete their apply Idaho or scholarship Idaho applications that we started in class last week and will also have a financial aid specialist here to help complete the FAFSA.
Please come join us for FAFSA and scholarship information!

Free Oct. 29 event to help students apply to college

North Idaho College President Nick Swayne will share practical advice on applying to college during a free event for high school students and families from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, at the Coeur d’Alene High School Media Center, 5530 N 4th St., Coeur d’Alene.

The event, presented by North Idaho College and Coeur d’Alene Public Schools, will cover ways students can strengthen their applications, understand what colleges are looking for and prepare for what comes next.

No registration is required and all high school students and their families are welcome. Attendees should enter through the main Coeur d’Alene High School entrance off Dalton Avenue.

“This is a great opportunity for students and families to get helpful, straightforward guidance about the college application process,” Coeur d’Alene Public Schools Superintendent Shon Hocker said. “There are a lot of questions that come with planning for college. This will give students a chance to hear practical advice, ask questions and leave feeling more confident about the next step.”

Swayne, who has more than 20 years of university leadership experience, said the event will also help families understand their options and the support available once students enroll.

“This event will give families a chance to get real help with the college application process,” Swayne said. “We want students to understand their options, take the next step with confidence and know that through the NIC Guarantee, we’ll continue supporting them after they enroll.”

The fall sports season is coming to an end, but we still have some fun left!

Football honors the seniors and then takes on rival St. Maries on Friday in the season finale for both teams.

On Saturday the Cross Country team travels to Grangeville for the CIL/District I-II Championship. The boys look to defend their district crown from last year and move on to the state meet. Girls will be looking to qualify individually.
