🥶 North Dakota weather is doing what North Dakota weather does! Please make sure students are coming to school with jackets and appropriate clothing for outdoor recess. Hats and gloves might be making their seasonal debut sooner than we'd like! ❄️😬

🚨🏐 ATTENTION HONKER FANS: SCHEDULE CHANGE FOR TONIGHT! 🏐🚨

Tonight is SENIOR NIGHT for our Kenmare-Bowbells Honker Volleyball team, but there has been an important change to tonight’s schedule! 💛

⚠️ There will ONLY be C-Squad & Varsity matches tonight against NSP.
⏰ Matches will now begin at 6:00 PM!
🎓🏐 IT’S ALSO SENIOR NIGHT! 🏐🎓

Come out and help us celebrate our Honker Volleyball seniors and recognize the time, dedication, leadership, and heart they’ve given to the program. 💐💛

🎃👻 COMMUNITY EVENT ALERT! 👻🎃

We love sharing fun opportunities happening in and around our community, and this one looks spook-tacular! 🍂🦇

Des Lacs National Wildlife Refuge invites you to brave the Haunted Trail at Taskers Coulee on Wednesday, October 14!

If you dare... take a guided ¼-mile walk through the woods, then warm up around the bonfire and enjoy some snacks at the shelter! 🔥🍿 Younger children are encouraged to come earlier in the evening, and children under age 10 should be accompanied by an adult.

🍂🧥 Brrr… Cooler Weather Is Coming! 🧤❄️

KPS Elementary families, it looks like Mother Nature is about to remind us that we live in North Dakota! 😬
The weather is expected to turn much cooler next week, and there’s even a chance we could see that horrible “S” word... SNOW! 😭❄️ We’re not ready either!
With the colder weather moving in, this is a quick reminder that our students still head outside for recess, so please make sure your child comes to school dressed for the weather each day. A warm jacket or sweatshirt can make a BIG difference when they’re outside playing! 🧥🍂

🧤 As temperatures continue to drop, it might also be time to start digging out those hats and gloves. We know... it feels way too soon! 🥶

👟 And don’t forget the shoes! Elementary students should have a separate pair of shoes strictly for outdoor use. This helps keep the mud, grass, and soon possibly snow from hitching a ride on those busy little feet into our classrooms and hallways. 😉
Please keep an eye on the forecast each morning and send the layers your child will need to stay warm and comfortable outside.
Thanks for helping us keep our kiddos warm, cozy, and ready for recess, no matter what North Dakota decides to throw at us! 💛

❄️ And maybe if we all refuse to say the “S” word again, it won’t happen. 🤞😂

🚨📢 🚨 Close-up, parents, a few things are coming home with your student this week:

1. Registration form: Please log in with your student to complete their registration.

2. Understanding form (permission slip): This shows the trip cost and where your student is at with fundraising. Please sign it and send it back. The $500 deposit is due October 27.

3. Concessions sign-up: We need parents to volunteer at the concession stand or bring something to sell at our winter events. Your student earns a point toward their share of the profits.

🏀 CALLING ALL 2ND GRADE KENMARE-BOWBELLS BOYS! 🏀
It’s time to hit the court! Kenmare-Bowbells 2nd Grade Boys have the opportunity to participate in the YMCA Basketball League this fall! 💛
📅 Season: November 7 - December 19
🏀 Games: Saturdays at the YMCA in Minot
📍 Practices: Bowbells, dates & times TBD
