🚨🚨Cross-Party Endorsement!!!🚨🚨

To my Democrat and unenrolled friends, we’re incredibly grateful to receive Lindsey’s cross-party endorsement!

Lindsey grew up here and is a young mom raising kids who are going through the school systems, and our family can relate to the same challenges she and her family face every day. Those shared experiences are a reminder that, regardless of party, we have far more in common than politics sometimes lets on.

Again, this isn’t about partisanship. My candidacy has always been about something bigger than a party label. We need younger, competent, servant leaders who can relate to the people they represent, understand the challenges facing working families, and are willing to step into the arena and try to make things better.

We don’t have to agree on everything to listen to one another, find common ground, and work toward solutions. That’s what people over partisanship means to me, and I’m grateful Lindsey sees that in this campaign, especially during these unfortunate divisive times we are living in. The division is holding us back as a state and country.

Thank you, Lindsey, for your trust and support. It means a great deal to our family and to this campaign and I will not let you and your family down! 🤝🫡

Yes, we named our little boy after Theodore Williams! ⚾️

My grandfather was the one who first told me the story of Ted’s decision to play that final game in 1941, knowing he had a chance to finish the season above .400. He went 6-for-8 in a doubleheader and finished the season at .406. A mark that has stood for more than 80 years and will NEVER be touched again.

What has always stuck with me, though, is more than the statistic. It’s the conviction to believe in yourself, the confidence to take the field when you have something extraordinary on the line, and the willingness to put it all out there knowing you might fail.

And then there’s his legendary military service. The Splendid Splinter stepped away from the game he loved to serve as a Marine and Naval aviator during both World War II and the Korean War. Think about that for a moment. A man who had already reached the pinnacle of his profession willingly put his career on hold to serve something bigger than himself.

My grandfather’s stories helped shape how I viewed Ted Williams long before we ever chose his name for our son. To me, his legacy represents more than baseball greatness. It represents conviction, sacrifice, patriotism, and a commitment to something greater than yourself. ⚾️🇺🇸🤝🫡

On the last day of the 1941 season, Ted Williams was hitting .39955, a number that rounds up to .400. âšľ His manager, Joe Cronin, offered to let him sit out the final doubleheader in Philadelphia and take the round number without risk. Williams said no.

By most accounts he played both games and collected six hits in eight at-bats, finishing the year at .406. No major leaguer has reached .400 since, which is the kind of fact that sounds invented until you remember it was done by a Red Sox left fielder with a notebook full of opinions about hitting.

What stays with Boston fans is not only the number, it is the choice. The easy road was right there on the bench, and he walked to the plate instead. 🧢 When the whole season is on the line, what do you think it takes to turn down the safe option?

***Welcome Aboard!!!***

To some of our newer friends following along, thank you for paying attention to this election!

The vast majority of decisions that directly impact your daily life are made at the state and, frankly, local levels. Yet these are often the very races that receive the least attention.

For the past nine months, I’ve had a wonderful bipartisan team around me, all of whom are younger and wicked smaaahhter!

They’ve stressed the importance that social media is a vital tool in a candidate’s and elected official’s toolbox. It has allowed me to connect directly with voters and provide straightforward information that’s not passed through some BS filter.

To note, I had quite the limited digital footprint before this but I wanted to provide you all with a decent sample size of who I am.

I am an introvert and frequently find this whole digital world daunting, but I try my best. We have some insightful substantive posts and we hopefully have provided you with a few laughs along the way as well!

Just as I’ve pledged with our Tailgate Talks and the nearly 15 events we’ve held throughout this campaign, if elected, I’ll continue looking for opportunities to connect with people, listen to their concerns, and share information through social media.

Frankly, if you’re a candidate or elected official and you aren’t effectively using social media in this day and age, you’re missing a significant opportunity.

It’s another avenue to hear directly from people across the political spectrum, including those who agree with you, those who disagree with you, and everyone in between.

That’s what this campaign has been about from the beginning: listening, learning, and connecting with people, regardless of political affiliation.

Thanks for being part of the conversation! 🤝🫡

🚨🚨Endorsement Alert!🚨🚨

Thank you so much for your kind words of support, Paul!

I’m humbled by your confidence and I certainly won’t let you or small businesses down.

Former State Rep. Paul Bennett of Kennebunk is the epitome of a civic-minded, community-oriented leader who has been a staple in Kennebunk and the surrounding communities throughout his entire life.

As such, his rare endorsement means a great deal to me. My hope is that it means something to you too.

I would be honored to earn your vote and serve you in Augusta! 🗳️🤝🫡

Our campaign is a bridge to new priorities for Senate District 34. It’s time we close the gap between what one zip code offers and the next one doesn't. That starts with addressing our health care, infrastructure, and education in this state, and here is my plan to do that with service, civility, and objectivity at front of mind.

Watch our first campaign ad below and share with a friend!

As a longtime listener and supporter of Michael Smerconish, I was fascinated listening to him on the drive home the other night when he made an interesting point about what $76 million in PAC money gets you in politics.

Most would immediately think that it all goes to ad spends, and a lot of it does. However, he raises the point that so much of it goes toward paying people $1.50 to $3 per door to knock, leave a flyer, and move on. He concluded his segment opining, gone are the days when campaigns were about persuasion. Today, too often, they’re about motivation. Getting people who already agree with you fired up enough to vote.

For nine months, we’ve campaigned on putting people over partisanship, turning down the temperature, and bringing center-left and center-right voices together. Many reading this likely think I’m feeding you bu****it. I understand. For what it’s worth, I’m not.

I believe campaigns should be about earning votes through conversation, substance, and thought, not simply motivating the already motivated.

As such, if any member of our small but mighty strong team or I have hit your door already or do so in the future, please know it’s because I sincerely want to hear what I can do to effectively represent you and your family.

I believe elections should be about earning your vote, not simply finding a way to turn it out. 🗳️🤝🫡

***I am actually demonstrating People Over Partisanship Exists***

Our team and I couldn’t help but smile when we saw this picture. It captures exactly what this campaign has been about from day one. This is the independent-minded spirit of Maine at its finest.

These folks clearly support us, while also supporting candidates from another party. And I think that’s fantastic.

For nine months, we’ve campaigned on putting people over partisanship. That’s exactly what these voters are doing. They’re showing that you can support candidates from different parties without treating politics like a team sport.

I encourage everyone to think about that for a minute. The phrase “people over party” is being thrown around by plenty of candidates right now. But is it a genuine commitment that they’re prepared to live by, or just another campaign slogan to help them punch their ticket to Augusta?

I’ve made that commitment from the beginning, and I believe our campaign is demonstrating what it looks like in practice. My hope is that voters will see this as more than a campaign message. It’s an indication of how I intend to approach the job of legislating, too.

Think about how uncommon it can be to see yard signs supporting candidates from different parties displayed together, even in a relatively ordinary election cycle. Now consider that we’re doing this during a time of heightened political division.

I’m incredibly proud of the work our team, my family, and I have put into sharing a positive, honest message focused on people rather than party labels.

Putting people over partisanship isn’t just something you say. It’s something you demonstrate.

That’s the kind of campaign we’ve worked hard to build, and it’s the kind of leadership I hope to bring to Augusta.

Service. Civility. Objectivity. 🤝🫡🇺🇸🗳️

***⚾️ Balls and Strikes, Part 4!***

Having spent more than a year of my life in Montgomery, Alabama, home to Air Force Officer Training and the Air Force JAG School, I also spent considerable time in nearby Selma.

During one particularly sweltering day, while training for the Air Force Marathon, I ran back and forth across the historic Edmund Pettus Bridge as part of a 15-mile training run. For perspective, the bridge itself is less than a quarter-mile long!

That run was about more than marathon preparation. The Selma-to-Montgomery marches hold special meaning for me because they represent the courage of ordinary Americans who stood up for civil rights and fought to make our democracy live up to its promises through nonviolent activism. Their legacy deserves to be remembered and honored.

That is why I want to give credit where credit is due. By signing onto SP 319, Rep. Dan Sayre and the other endorsers took a step in the right direction.

In this Balls and Strikes series, I have committed to objectively examining my opponent’s legislative record as Chair of the House Taxation Committee. That means calling balls and strikes regardless of party affiliation. I will give credit when it is earned, just as I will hold him accountable when I believe his record falls short.

SP 319 is a strike right down the middle. It is something I would support, too.

That brings our count to 2–2. I’m happy to give credit where it’s deserved, but I’m not ready to let him off the hook just yet!

Stay tuned for Part 5. ⚾️🤝🫡
