Kennedale ISD is proud to celebrate the dedicated staff members who go above and beyond for our students, campuses, and community through our PAW (Paw-sitively Awesome Wildcat) Awards! 💚

All PAW Award recipients receive a certificate recognizing their impact across our district. As a new addition to the program, three recipients each month are selected for recognition during that month’s School Board meeting. Thanks to EECU, each also receives a $50 award!

Our October EECU PAW Award recipients are:

🐾 Claudia Gonzalez - Cafeteria Manager at James F. Delaney Elementary

Kennedale ISD is currently experiencing an internet outage affecting phone and internet services at the campuses and Central Office. As a result, families may be unable to reach these locations by phone or email.

Due to the outage, no visitors will be allowed on any KISD campus today. This includes attending the high school pep rally, eating lunch with students, or visiting for any other reason.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we prioritize the safety of our students and staff. We will share updates through ParentSquare if services are consistently restored or if anything changes regarding campus visitor access.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us keep our Wildcats safe!

Our Health Science students are putting their skills into action! 💚

This incredible group of Kennedale High School CTE Health Science students partnered with Cook Children’s to help screen 341 students at James A. Arthur Early Childhood Center for vision concerns.

We are so grateful for their time, hard work and care as they helped ensure our littlest Wildcats have access to the vision resources they need to be successful in our district.

Cook Children’s representatives praised our ECC students for their patience and behavior throughout the screenings and our Health Science students for the way they interacted with the younger students. Our high school students demonstrated adaptability, enthusiasm and a genuine excitement to learn while gaining valuable hands-on experience in the health care field.

A special thank-you to our KHS Nursing Team, including Lead Nurse Sara Humphrey, for helping make this partnership with Cook Children’s possible and creating this meaningful learning opportunity for our students.

Experiences like this are an important part of our CTE Health Science program, giving students opportunities to apply what they learn in the classroom while developing the communication, critical-thinking, problem-solving and teamwork skills needed in the health care industry.
