Another amazing Fire and Fuel camp was held September 24-27th at Camp Touchet in the Umatilla National Forest. Thank you to the US Forest Service, US Wildland Fire Service, Washington Dept of Natural Resources and the Washington National Guard for all of their support to organize an amazing wildland training opportunity for our 39 students. The students put their wildland training to good use and got a real look at what life as a wildland firefighter will be like. It is hard and dirty and rewarding! A shoutout to our more than 20 alumni who were part of the training staff.

Thank you AMR for the recent donation of a Stryker Power Cot and Stair Chair to our Firefighting and EMS program. This donation will help our students train more effectively with equipment currently being used in our community. It was also great to have two alumni return to where it all started.

Wow, last Thursday was AWESOME! We celebrated our ribbon cutting and friends/family BBQ with hundreds and hundreds of people including our staff, students, families, alumni, elected officials, district representatives, and industry partners! Thank you to SODEXO for sponsoring the food. It was a wonderful way to kick off the new school year in a facility ready to support workforce development in our community for the next 50 years. Just a sneak peak of the photos to come.
