We stand on the shoulders of generations who believed in Kenosha. Now, what we choose to give forward can help shape the generations still to come.

A community's ability to invest in its future is powerful. Giving starts with us. Learn, share, connect, or explore how KCF can help carry generosity forward.

Ever wondered where your gift actually goes? Here’s how KCF works, step by step.

You give to a cause you care about or to a fund in your name
KCF stewards and grows those gifts for the long term
Grants go to local nonprofits doing the work
Kenosha County grows stronger, now and for generations

That’s how one gift keeps working long after today.

Which cause would YOU want your giving to support? Tell us in the comments!
:repeat: Share this with someone who loves Kenosha as much as you do.

Thank you! To KCF's Centennial Sponsors and to YOU!

10 Days. 10 Decades. 100 Years of Impact. We are overwhelmed with gratitude for how the community showed up to help us celebrate 100 years of giving back. It goes without saying, the people are why we're here, but also why we can lead with our whole hearts and encourage more involvement. We see the difference an involved community makes, we hope you do too! What was a moment from the celebration that stayed with you? Tell us below and share with someone who was part of it!

10 Days for 10 Decades: Day 9!

Words can't quite capture the palpable sense of inspiration and wisdom that filled last night. Event attendees watched the first screening of three beautiful custom-made videos highlighting the history of philanthropy in Kenosha. The star of the night truly was Nick Pinchuck, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Snap-on Incorporated, who shared many insights into what it means to build a prosperous company and community culture.

What a way to kick off the next decade of KCF!

Thank you again to all of our donors, board members, volunteers, non-profit partners, and everyday cheerleaders.

10 Days for 10 Decades: Day 10!

Have you ever heard the old adage, “The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The next best time is now”?

Well, that’s what we’re going to do and we want you there for it.🌱

Join us today, October 8, from 3-4pm to plant a tree dedicated to 100 years of KCF. Then, watch it grow with us for the century ahead!

The tree planting will take place on Kenosha's Harbor, toward the southside of the museums, near the bike path, and just south of 2nd Avenue. The playground and marina are visible just to the south.

10 Days for 10 Decades: Day 8!

Yesterday over lunch, our community had the opportunity to hear from Ronald C. Tatum, CEO of the Racine–Kenosha Community Action Agency.

The conversation went beyond the numbers. We explored challenges the organization faces, their hopes for the future, and why meaningful community transformation always starts with people.

One of KCF’s first goals is to engage the community. Connecting local nonprofit leaders with philanthropists and with one another is one way we can multiply knowledge, relationships, and resources for good.

We’re grateful for conversations like these. Thank you, Ronald, for your work, leadership, and time!

10 Days for 10 Decades: Day 7! 🩺

Beginning as a nonprofit home healthcare service in the early 1900s, Kenosha Visiting Nurse Association (KVNA) established an endowment fund at the Kenosha Community Foundation in 1997 to provide perpetual financial support for its mission.

In 2023, KVNA decided to transition the fund’s remaining balance into a public grantmaking vehicle. Rather than continuing to support KVNA directly, the fund now provides perpetual support to other nonprofits serving homebound individuals and people with disabilities who require care in place.

Today, KCF honors the legacy of a proud organization whose commitment to compassionate care continues to make a difference in the lives of people throughout our community. 💙
