USE YOUR SUPERPOWERS ALL YEAR!

🔥 Fire Prevention Week may be ending, but fire safety NEVER does!

Blaze has spent the week showing us that you don’t need a cape to have fire safety superpowers. 🐺🦸

Use the right charger. Unplug when fully charged. Charge on a hard surface. Know the warning signs. Keep working smoke & CO alarms. And have a home escape plan.

They’re simple habits—but they can make a BIG difference. ❤️

Thank you for following along with Blaze and the Kenova Volunteer Fire Department during Fire Prevention Week 2026!

⚡ Keep using those fire safety superpowers all year long! 🔥🚒

🚒❤️ STRONGER TOGETHER — ONE MISSION, ONE COMMUNITY! ❤️🚒

We are proud to partner with our brothers and sisters at the Prichard Volunteer Fire Department to help bring fire safety education and lifesaving smoke and carbon monoxide detectors to the students and families of Prichard Elementary School! 🚨🏡

At Kenova Fire, we believe fire prevention doesn’t stop at our district lines. When departments come together, we can make an even greater impact on the communities we serve.

A huge thank-you to Prichard Volunteer Fire Department for helping coordinate this effort and making sure these important resources reach the families who need them.

This is what the fire service is all about — working together, supporting one another, and keeping our communities safe! ❤️

🚒 Different departments. Same mission. Safer communities.

🚒❤️ A BIG SHOUT-OUT TO OUR BROTHERs AND SISTERS AT KENOVA FIRE DEPARTMENT! ❤️🚒

The Prichard Volunteer Fire Department would like to send a HUGE thank-you to the Kenova Fire Department for helping us provide our Prichard Elementary students with Fire Safety Awareness packets and the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors they signed up to receive!

Fire safety education is so important, and having the support of fellow departments makes it even more special. Working together helps us make our homes, our schools, and our community a little safer for everyone. 🏡🚨

To our brothers and sisters at Kenova Fire Department, thank you for always having our backs — not just out in the field, but right here in our community, too! That’s what the fire service is all about: teamwork, brotherhood, and looking out for the people we serve. ❤️🤝

From all of us at Prichard Volunteer Fire Department, THANK YOU, KENOVA! We appreciate you more than you know!

🚒 Different departments, same mission — serving our communities and keeping our families safe! ❤️

SMOKE & CO ALARMS SAVE LIVES

🚨 Today Blaze is talking about one of our FAVORITE subjects — smoke & CO alarms! 🐺❤️

Working alarms provide the early warning you and your family need when seconds matter.

Take a few minutes today to check the alarms in your home and make sure everyone knows what they sound like.

This message is especially important to us this year as the Kenova Volunteer Fire Department works to put 10-year smoke and CO detectors into the homes of local families through our AFG Fire Prevention Grant. 🚒❤️

Working alarms save lives.

KNOW THE WARNING SIGNS

🚨 Would you recognize a battery in trouble?

A rechargeable battery can give you warning signs that something isn’t right.

Watch for unusual heat, swelling, leaking, strange odors, smoke, or popping and hissing sounds.

If you notice something unusual, stop using the device.

🐺 Knowing the warning signs is another one of Blaze’s fire safety superpowers!

SOFT SURFACE? HARD PASS!

🛏️📱 Where is your phone charging tonight?

If it’s on your bed, under your pillow or buried in the couch cushions, Blaze has one thing to say…

SOFT SURFACE? HARD PASS! 🐺✋

Charge phones, tablets and other devices on a hard, flat surface where heat can escape.

⚡ Safe charging is a superpower!

10/06/2026

FULLY CHARGED? UNPLUG!

🔋 100%? Pull the plug!

Today’s superpower is an easy one.

When your phone, tablet, laptop or other rechargeable device reaches a full charge, unplug it! ⚡

It’s one small habit that can help make charging safer in your home.

🐺🔥 Blaze says: Fully charged = time to unplug!

10/05/2026

USE THE RIGHT CHARGER

⚡ Blaze’s Fire Safety Superpower #1: Use the RIGHT charger!

Not all chargers are created equal. Always use the charging cord that came with your device or one approved by the manufacturer.

That inexpensive off-brand charger might seem like a bargain, but safety is worth more than saving a few dollars. 🔌

🐺 Blaze says: When it comes to charging, use the right equipment!
