👻 🎃 A Halloween Update from KAFAS 👻 🎃
To our friends, neighbors, and supporters:
Halloween has always been a special opportunity for the Kerhonkson Accord First Aid Squad to bring our community together. This year, we’re keeping that spirit alive with a change in format.
For this year only, KAFAS will replace our traditional haunted house with a smaller, family-friendly Halloween community celebration — a return to the community parties many of you may remember.
After carefully reviewing the personnel, preparation, and expenses needed to produce a full haunted house, we determined that a smaller event is the most responsible choice. With staffing limitations and the need to carefully manage our budget, we must balance community activities with our primary responsibility: maintaining reliable emergency medical services.
We take seriously the trust you place in us, both when you call for help and when you support our organization. That means making thoughtful decisions about how we use our people, time, and funding.
Our commitment to connecting with this community remains strong. We’re planning two evenings of Halloween fun on October 30th and 31st, featuring festive decorations, music, costumed characters, and snacks and drinks available for purchase. On Halloween, families can also look forward to trick-or-treating and a costume contest with prizes.
Times are:
🎃 Friday from 6pm to 10pm
🎃 Saturday from 3pm to 9pm
We know some of you were looking forward to the haunted house, and we appreciate your understanding as we make this adjustment. We’re excited to offer a welcoming place where neighbors can gather, children can celebrate, and everyone can spend time with the people behind their local EMS agency.
Thank you for continuing to support KAFAS. Caring for this community means responding when you need us — and making time to celebrate together.
