Community Connections We provide individualized customer-guided supports that encourage independence, community belonging and quality of life. We build on people’s strengths.

We help children with behavioral needs, adults with developmental disabilities, and seniors with physical disabilities. CORE VALUES

We believe that there is strength in diversity and we value those natural individual differences such as culture, religion, personality, and disability that both challenge us and make each of us unique. Our services focus on bringing out the best in each person, and respecting the unique talents, interests, and values of both staff and the individuals we serve. We are committed to excellence and continuous improvement and will strive to use best practice in our management, and all of the services we provide. If we try something and it doesn’t work we are willing to try another way. We seek to maximize community participation of the people we serve. This means that through thoughtful planning, services are provided in the most natural and inclusive ways possible. Our services will be invisible to other community members and encourage independence. We value professional integrity and respect and these values provide a foundation for how we treat our staff, peers, and the individuals we serve. This means assuming competence, practicing positive communication skills, confidentiality, honesty, and working toward mutual understanding. We believe in the importance of collaboration and shared leadership and work to develop positive relationships, and partnerships with the individuals we serve, other organizations, their staff, and with each other. Leadership is encouraged at all levels, most importantly in the families and individuals we serve. These values represent the way we do business as an agency.

Share the Harvest. Spread the Hope.

This fall, Community Connections is partnering with our community to help fill local food pantries and support neighbors facing food insecurity.

From October 14-29, we're collecting non-perishable food items including canned fruits and vegetables, soups, tuna and other proteins, pasta, rice, cereal, peanut butter, shelf-stable milk, baby supplies, and more. Monetary donations are also welcome and will be used to purchase fresh food for local families.

Every donation, big or small, helps make a difference. Together, we can ensure that members of our community have access to nutritious food during the coming months.

Behind every successful login, functioning tablet, secure network, software update, and new employee setup is a team that keeps Community Connections connected and running smoothly every day.

This month, we're proud to recognize our incredible IT Department: Tony, Gene, and CJ. Whether they're troubleshooting computer issues, supporting critical programs, strengthening cybersecurity, managing devices, or helping staff navigate new technology, their expertise and patience make a difference across the entire agency.

Technology works best when you never have to think about it, and that's because this team is hard at work behind the scenes. Their dedication, professionalism, and willingness to help ensure that staff can focus on what matters most: supporting the people we serve.

As one team member shared, the IT team is often "swooping in like superheroes, saving the day, and then quietly disappearing so the rest of us can get back to work." We couldn't think of a better description.

Thank you, Tony, Gene, and CJ, for your knowledge, patience, and commitment to keeping Community Connections connected, secure, and moving forward. We appreciate all that you do!

We're opening our doors for an afternoon of family-friendly Halloween fun featuring indoor trick-or-treating, themed rooms, open house tours, and plenty of smiles along the way.

Do you have a knack for organization, communication, and helping things run smoothly behind the scenes? Community Connections is looking for a Billing & PR Coordinator to join our team in Ketchikan!

In this role, you'll help support vital services for seniors, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and families throughout Southeast Alaska by coordinating billing processes, maintaining records, assisting with quality assurance, and supporting billing efforts.
