FloTech has started CCTV inspections of the Village’s existing stormwater drainage system, starting on Bay Lane.

The inspections will follow the Village’s annual stormwater line cleaning performed by US L***s and are expected to continue over the next several months as crews move through the survey area.

The CCTV survey will help the Village better understand the condition of the existing drainage system and evaluate what may be able to remain in service and what could require replacement or other improvements as part of future stormwater planning.

To help minimize disruption, work near the school is planned for the Thanksgiving break to avoid conflicts with school drop-off and pickup.

Additional information will be shared as the work progresses and new details become available.

Streetlight coverage is an important quality-of-life issue for many residents. In the Village's recent biennial resident survey, 31% of respondents indicated they were not satisfied with streetlight coverage in the community.

The Village recently launched a solar-powered street lighting pilot program at the intersection of Hampton Lane and Woodcrest Road to explore ways to enhance visibility and safety on neighborhood streets.

The pilot program allows the Village to assess the technology's performance, reliability, maintenance needs, and potential benefits before considering broader implementation. Potential advantages include improved resilience during power outages, reduced energy consumption, and lower long-term operating costs.
