It was a good night for the Mineral County Health Department. Staff attended the 102nd Annual WV Public Health Conference and came away with several honors. Deborah Henson was awarded the WV Epidemiologist of the year, AJay Root was awarded the Presidental Award, the WV Boss of the Year Award and the Steve Bayer Award for Excellence in field of Environmental Health and John Del Signore was awarded two twenty year service awards. One from the WV Association of Sanitarians and one from the WV Public Health Association. We want to thank them for all the do for not only our community, but for what they do for the state of West Virginia.

▪️Are Age 35-39, Requesting Baseline Mammogram With a Payment Source
▪️Are Age 40 or Older With A Previous Breast Cancer related issue and need a routine mammogram
♦️If you live outside of West Virginia, are over the age of 40, and have a payment source for the mammogram.

REMINDER
We are closed Thursday and Friday for Paving. We will reopen Monday Morning at 8am.

Public Notice

WEATHER PERMITTING - The Health Department and all offices housed within the facility, will be closed on Thursday, May 28th and Friday, May 29th, 2026 due to the parking lot paving project with the new annex facility and the current facility. We will reopen at 8:00am on Monday, June 1st, 2026. Thank you for your patience as we upgrade our facilities to better serve this community.
