🌟Employee Spotlight!!🌟
A special shout out is deserved for Assistant Chief, Crag Cox. With over 30 years of fire, EMS and previous dispatch experience, Craig brings a wealth of knowledge to our department and the local Mineral County community. Craig is a C3 interfacility paramedic, state and local EMS instructor, and mentor to many prehospital providers. Within our agency, Craig handles training and maintaining certifications, as well as continues to instruct classes for MCEMS and local volunteer agency members. He is a proud lifetime member of New Creek Volunteer Fire Department, as well as a paramedic for Valley Medical Transport, Keyser Station. Additionally, Craig was recently re-elected as the WV State Fire Association 1st Vice President! Craig clearly has dedicated himself to his craft, serving not only our local community but our state as a whole for prehospital medicine and fire services.

In his free time, Craig has worked on writing and obtaining grant funding for our agency. In doing so, he has single handedly been able to secure thousands of dollars of funding for our ultrasound device, PPE and safety equipment, extrication wear, and other miscellaneous supplies. Thanks to Craig, our employees are working with the best quality and cutting edge equipment and gear!

When not riding along Response 1 to serve his community, Craig enjoys taking camping trips, rooting on the Mountaineers, and spending time with his family and dogs & ducks! Mineral County EMS is truly blessed to have Craig as a member for so many reasons. Thank you, Craig Cox, for all of the hard work you put into this agency. We see you and we appreciate you!
