Shoutout to the KFD firefighters for putting in the hard work and dedication to training!

Thanks to a grant we received, Kiefer Fire Department was able to purchase new SEEK Thermal Imaging Cameras to help our firefighters operate more safely and effectively in challenging conditions.

The guys recently put the new cameras to the test during a zero-visibility search and rescue training exercise, working through realistic conditions and sharpening the skills needed when seconds matter.
Training like this helps ensure our firefighters are prepared to serve our community when they’re needed most.

Proud of this crew and the commitment they continue to show to KFD and the citizens we serve!

🚨 BURN BAN EXTENDED — CREEK COUNTY 🚨

Effective TODAY, September 15, 2026, a 7-day burn ban is in effect for Creek County.

🔥 NO OUTDOOR BURNING
This includes grass, brush, trash, campfires, bonfires, and any other burning that could potentially start a wildfire.

With extremely dry conditions and continued fire danger, please use extra caution with anything that could create a spark or ignite vegetation.

⚠️ The burn ban may be extended if weather and fire conditions do not improve.

Please help us prevent a wildfire and keep our communities, homes, and firefighters safe.

Big shoutout to our firefighter, Ethan Tharp, for representing KFD at the 9/11 Memorial Climb. 🇺🇸🚒
It is a great honor to remember and pay tribute to our 343 brothers and sisters who gave their lives in the line of duty.

We also honor and remember the families who were left behind and continue to carry the weight of that loss.

We will never forget their sacrifice, their courage, or their legacy.

343 remembered. 343 honored. Never forgotten. 🖤🇺🇸

Please avoid Glenpool Hwy 75 while crews continue battling the fire.

Air quality is being monitored, and there are currently NO reported hazards as the smoke remains above ground level.

We’ll share updates as needed. Please keep the Glenpool Fire Department and all crews working this fire in your prayers.

We’re not under a burn ban, but grass fire season is here. Please be mindful with fire pits, grills, and outdoor burning.

Secure those chains
Don’t toss ci******es out the window
Never leave a fire unattended

One small spark can turn into a big fire. Help us keep our community safe! 🚒
