Thank you Brodie Rice for putting on a Stop the Bleed class for our officers. Brodie has 26 years experience in the EMS Field responding to critical incidents on ambulances and working in petroleum industry. Our officers were trained to save their own lives as well as the public. Thank you so much sharing your knowledge with us!

Today we have officers spending their Saturday participating in fi****ms training. Interagency training builds relationships and bonds between officers. We are thankful to be training with Coushatta Tribal Police, Allen Parish Sheriff’s Department and Ward 2 Constable Joey Caldarera.

Today was the final day of homicide investigator training in Lake Charles for Assistant Chief Marie Manuel. We are proud to have her as a member of the Louisiana Homicide Investigators Association. Kinder PD is a small department and the officers are committed to learning and improving to benefit the community and people we serve.

Last month ALL full time officers attended Autism and Developmental Disability Training sponsored by the Allen Parish School Board. Cody Lantron and Taylor Jackson attended Pro-Active Patrol training in Woodworth. By the end of this year we will have had two new officers having completed basis training and hope to have another two new officers finish basic training next year.

Society, laws and technology change constantly, hopefully we can continue to educate and train throughout next year and years to come. Thank YOU Kinder for allowing us to improve!

It has been six years ago today that our friend and co-worker went on to be with our Lord. We reminisce in the great memories and moments we had with him. We miss him deeply to this day. Forever in our hearts, forever K-12, Jackie Holland.
