It is with great pride and gratitude that I announce my candidacy for re-election to the Kinder City Council, District 2.
For 63 years, I have called Kinder, Louisiana, home. I was born and raised right here in our community, and I have spent my life investing in the people, families, and future of Kinder.
I have been married to my husband, Mike DeWees, for 41 years. Together, we have two children, Brett DeWees and Mary-Alaina Fruge, and six grandchildren who are among my greatest blessings.
I am a lifelong parishioner of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, where my faith in God has always been the foundation of my life, guiding my decisions, my service, and my commitment to others. I have dedicated 30 years to educating the children of Kinder. My commitment to our community extends beyond the classroom, as I have proudly served 8 years on the Kinder City Council representing District 2.
Serving Kinder has always been more than a position for me, it is a privilege and a responsibility I take to heart. I am proud of the progress our community has made, and I hope to continue working alongside the citizens of Kinder to make our hometown an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.
With 63 years of calling Kinder home, 30 years of educating our children, and 8 years of serving District 2, I am ready to continue serving YOU!
