🌿 HELP KEEP OUR PARKS BEAUTIFUL! 🗑️

King George Parks & Recreation is proud to be a recipient of a Keep Virginia Beautiful Green Grant in the Litter Prevention category! With support from this grant, permanent litter pick-up stations have been installed at Barnesfield Park, Cedell Brooks, Jr. Park, and Sealston Sports Complex.

These stations make it easy for visitors to take an active role in caring for our more than 400 acres of county parkland. Every bag of litter collected helps keep our parks, trails, and outdoor spaces clean and welcoming for everyone! 💚

🗑️ HOW TO USE A LITTER PICK-UP STATION:
1️⃣ Borrow a litter picker.
2️⃣ Take a trash bag from the dispenser.
3️⃣ Collect litter and leave the filled bag at any trash can.
4️⃣ Return the litter picker to the station.
5️⃣ Share a photo of your cleanup with us at [email protected]!

⚠️ Station damaged or empty?
Please call (540)775-4386 or email [email protected] to let us know.

A big thank-you to Keep Virginia Beautiful, Altria Group, PepsiCo, GFL Environmental, and TowneBank for supporting this initiative!

🌎 Next time you visit one of our parks, grab a picker and do your part to keep King George beautiful!
