π Keep FOG Out of the Drain! π
We are reminding residents and businesses that fats, oils, and grease (FOG) should never be poured down sinks or drains. While grease may go down as a liquid, it hardens as it cools, creating blockages that can lead to sewer backups, unpleasant odors, overflows, and costly repairs.
A few simple steps can help protect your home and our wastewater system:
βοΈ Let grease and cooking oil cool
βοΈ Pour cooled grease into a sealed container and place it in the trash
βοΈ Wipe pots, pans, and dishes before washing
βοΈ Use sink strainers to catch food scraps
Remember: Grease, cooking oil, butter, meat drippings, rice, pasta, coffee grounds, and large amounts of leftover food should never go down drains or garbage disposals.
Working together, we can help prevent sewer problems and protect Kingman's wastewater infrastructure. For more information, call the Wastewater Division at (928) 757-7467. π°π‘

π§ Kingman neighbors, quick heads up for tonight!
Interstate 40 will have a brief overnight closure tonight (June 2) between Stockton Hill Road and Beale Street (mileposts 51β48) while crews conduct rock blasting for the I-40/US 93 West Kingman Interchange Project.
Hereβs what to expect:
Starting at 7:00 p.m., traffic will narrow to one lane in each direction.
At 8:00 p.m., crews will temporarily close I-40 for about 30 minutes to an hour so blasting can take place safely.
If youβre traveling, locals may want to consider alternate routes that avoid I-40 if possible. If not, expect some short delays while the work is completed.
π§ Please use extra caution in the area while crews and equipment are on site.
β± All times are approximate and may change depending on weather and site conditions.
