π CONGRATULATIONS & JOB WELL DONE! π
βHelp us congratulate Engineer Kudrna and Engineer Gamboa!
βBoth engineers recently traveled to the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland, where they underwent rigorous training to sharpen their skills and bring the highest level of expertise back home.
βWe truly appreciate their hard work, sacrifice, and dedication. By continually striving to better themselves, they in turn better the Northern Arizona Fire District and the community we swear to protect.
βThank you both for leading by example and representing NAFD so well on a national stage!

Today, Northern Arizona Fire District pauses to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage, selflessness, and dedication to protecting our freedoms will never be forgotten.
As we spend time with family and friends this Memorial Day, let us also reflect on the heroes who gave everything for the freedoms we enjoy each day.
From all of us at Northern Arizona Fire District, we extend our deepest gratitude to all sworn members who gave the ultimate sacrifice, and their families.

Last night, we had the honor of recognizing the incredible individuals who make the Northern Arizona Fire District stronger every single day during our End of the Year Employee Recognition Ceremony.
This evening was about more than awards, it was about recognizing dedication, professionalism, compassion, leadership, and commitment to both our organization and the community we proudly serve.
Please join us in congratulating this yearβs award recipients:
π₯ Firefighter of the Year β Colin McMullen
π₯ Fire Officer of the Year β CJ Gore
π EMS Provider of the Year β Kenneth Cameron
π₯ POC Employee of the Year β Tyler Edwards
π Volunteer(s) of the Year β Tim McCoy & Cody Delgado
π Fire Chief Award β Don Dallman
πΎ Ember Award β Matthew McDowell
We also proudly recognized members who have dedicated 5+ years of service to NAFD. Your continued commitment, sacrifice, and service are deeply appreciated and help shape the culture and future of this organization.
The Ember Award holds a special meaning within our department as it is named after Ember, the first in-house certified therapy dog in Mohave County. This award recognizes compassion, commitment to others, and unwavering dedication to the well-being of our personnel and organization.
To all of our members: career, volunteers, friends and families, thank you for everything you do. We are proud of where this organization is today and excited for where we are headed together.

Effective May 21, 2026, Mohave County has issued a proclamation prohibiting all open fires and permissible consumer fireworks throughout the county due to increased fire danger and hazardous weather conditions.
π« The following are prohibited:
β’ Campfires and warming fires
β’ Open burning
β’ Consumer fireworks
β’ All burn permits have been canceled
β’ No new burn permits will be issued
β
UL-approved petroleum-fueled stoves, lanterns, and heating devices are exempt.
These restrictions are necessary to help prevent human-caused wildfires and protect our communities, firefighters, and public lands during extreme heat, low humidity, high winds, and dry vegetation conditions.
We appreciate everyone doing their part to keep Mohave County safe this fire season.
