On this day, notorious gangster Al Capone was found guilty of federal income-tax offenses after a highly publicized trial. The jury convicted him on five counts, and he was later sentenced to 11 years in prison.
But before that famous conviction, Capone had already experienced another part of the criminal-justice system:
