Calling all young scientists!
How much sugar is in a mystery drink? More than 100 fourth- and fifth-grade students at David Wolfle Elementary got to find out using REAL science!
On Monday, Seattle Children's Research Institute brought its 45-foot Science Inspiration Lab to Kitsap County for the very first time!
Launched in 2025, this state-of-the-art mobile laboratory brings research-grade equipment and hands-on STEM learning directly to schools across Washington. It's part of a program that has reached more than 100,000 students statewide!
Our Wolfle students stepped aboard the lab and helped "Dr. Ginger Ale" solve a sugary mystery. They conducted chemistry experiments, tested samples and used their results to uncover how much sugar was hiding in Formula X.
What an opportunity to explore science, ask questions and learn alongside real scientists!
A huge thank you to Seattle Children's for bringing this experience to our Wolfle students!
