Officer Grainger

So glad we were able to support such a great cause! My friends at the Friends of the Kinston Police Department are doing somthing amazing for our community, and I'm happy to be a small part of it!

Well, we weren't expecting this one!

Apparently, Officer Grainger has decided to become a sponsor of our Beyond the Badge: A Night of Honor Gala!

We are excited to announce our FIRST Sgt. Sponsor, Officer Grainger!

We're still trying to figure out where he got the money, considering he doesn't get a paycheck, but we appreciate his support!

Thank you, Grainger, for helping us raise money for public safety scholarships. Now, if we could just get you to pay for your own treats!

My buddy Kilo has had a pretty ruff week, and he could use a little love!

The Friends of KPD have set up a GoFundMe to help him and all my fellow four-legged officers.

If you can donate or share, I’d sure appreciate it! Kilo’s a good boy, and us good boys gotta stick together!

Save the date, Kinston!

The Friends of the Kinston Police Department are excited to announce Beyond the Badge: A Night of Honor, coming March 5, 2027, at the Kinston Country Club.

We’re going to have a great time honoring our first responders while raising money to support public safety scholarship opportunities in our community.

It’ll be a night of good food, live music, fellowship, and plenty of fun, all for a great cause.

Information on gala sponsorships will be posted later today, with gala ticket information coming in the months ahead.

For now, mark your calendar for March 5, 2027. We can’t wait to celebrate with you.

Grainger just relaxing before his weekend starts.

Grainger had a pretty important assignment today.

He was invited to visit Mrs. Harrison’s 3rd grade class at Banks School! The students got to spend some time with Grainger and learn about his role here at KPD.

Of course, Grainger was more than happy to accept all the attention that came with the visit.

Thank you, Mrs. Harrison, for inviting us. We had a great time!
