We had an amazing supporter of KFD make these beautiful name boards for us to place above our gear. Paul Schultz did an amazing job on them and donated his time and expenses to the department so we could have these. He went above and beyond expectations and i just cannot say how gorgeous his work is! Thank you Paul for all of your support to KFD! ALSO- hit him up if you need some woodwork done ( or literally anything handyman)! He does an amazing job with so many other things!
We are just so thankful for all of the recent support we have received to the department from those in the community. It has been so rewarding and almost overwhelming.
Being a provider on a volunteer service we do this because we love what we do and want to spread that all across the county. We as a department get it- times are SO TOUGH- everyone is working 2+ jobs or working horrendous overtime to make ends meet. Times suck right now- gas is outrageous- groceries are outrageous- living is outrageous!
The only thing we as a Department can promise you is- a family- a family who gets it- we may cuss too much and feel defeated- but we will be that support system- we can promise you mental gratitude- tending to your neighbors fire or your neighbors EMS call- you will feel that love and gratitude.
Is it enough? Some days it will be too much- Yes- but other days will drive you to want to do more. But in the end of it all- you will have a family, you will have love, will have loyalty, and you will have sense of purpose even in the dark you will have love and kindness and support of a whole team.
We pride ourselves in being a very large beautiful dysfunctional family. We fight- we talk- but we all agree that our Community is #1 and we do it with pride even when we feel tired and overwhelmed because we love where we are and everyone involved or to those who reach out!
