🌟 EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT: BEHIND THE BADGE 🌟

We’re excited to shine the spotlight on Carline Muir, Licensed Therapist in Mental Health and Substance Use! 💙

For the past three and a half years, Carline has been an important part of the Park Place family, creating safe and supportive spaces where the individuals we serve can feel heard, understood, and empowered.

Carline’s passion for behavioral health is shaped by her own life experiences, including her journey as a professional athlete. Those experiences taught her the importance of mental wellness, balance, resilience, and having the right support when navigating life’s challenges.

One belief continues to guide her work:

✨ “Everyone deserves to feel heard, supported, and empowered.”

Whether she’s helping someone recognize their strengths, find hope during a difficult season, or take another step in their recovery journey, Carline reminds us that growth doesn’t have to happen all at once—every step matters.

Thank you, Carline, for the compassion, encouragement, and dedication you bring to Park Place and to the individuals and families we serve. 💙

👏 Help us celebrate Carline and the difference she makes every day!

🌧️ Weathering the Storm: Prepare Your Mind, Too.

We’re still in hurricane season—and the tropics are reminding us that it’s important to stay prepared. With Tropical Storm Isaias currently developing in the Gulf and forecast to strengthen, now is a good time to review your plans, replenish your supplies, and stay informed through trusted weather sources. National Hurricane Center.

But hurricane preparedness isn’t only about water, batteries, flashlights, and supplies. Uncertainty surrounding severe weather can also affect our mental health. 💙
As you prepare, remember to care for your emotional well-being too. Limit constant weather and social media updates if they’re increasing your anxiety, check in with loved ones, maintain your routine when possible, and make sure your family has a plan.

💚 Prepare your home. Prepare your family. Prepare your mind.
Park Place Behavioral Health Care is here to support our community through stressful and uncertain moments—before, during, and after the storm.
Stay prepared. Stay informed. Take care of yourself and one another.

💙 Always Learning. Always Growing. Always Collaborating.

Providing great care to our community starts with continuing to invest in the people who make that care possible.

Members of our Park Place management team recently had the opportunity to come together to learn, share ideas, strengthen their leadership skills, and collaborate on ways we can continue improving the services we provide.

Growth doesn't stop because you've reached a leadership position. In fact, that's when it becomes even more important. 🌱

We are proud of a team that continues to learn from one another, challenge themselves, and bring new ideas back to Park Place—all with one goal in mind: better serving the individuals, families, and community who count on us.

💙 Stronger teams. Better services. Brighter futures.

💙 Mental Health Monday

Sometimes we think we have to reach our breaking point before asking for help. We don’t.

Taking care of your mental health can start long before a crisis. It can start with recognizing that something feels different, talking to someone you trust, learning new ways to cope, or simply saying, “I could use some support.”

At Park Place, we believe seeking help is part of taking care of yourself—and you don’t have to navigate everything alone.

As we begin another week, take a moment to check in with yourself and with the people you care about. 💙

How are you really doing today?

💙 50 Years. Countless Lives. One Incredible Legacy. 💙

Before we look ahead to the next 50 years, it’s important to remember where we started, how far we’ve come, and all the lives that have been touched along the way.

This special slideshow was shared during our 50th Anniversary Gala as a reminder of who Park Place is and what 50 years of service to our community truly looks like.

Through the years, buildings have changed, programs have grown, and faces have come and gone—but the heart of Park Place has remained the same: people helping people.

Every photo represents a moment in our story. Every chapter was built by dedicated employees, leaders, board members, community partners, supporters, and the individuals and families who trusted us during some of the most important moments of their lives.

For 50 years, Park Place Behavioral Health Care has been part of this community—and this community has been part of us.

Here’s to remembering where we’ve been, honoring those who helped get us here, and continuing a legacy of hope, healing, and service for generations to come. 💙

This is our story. This is our legacy. This is Park Place.
