Had Joe and wife Linda out yesterday from Pennsylvania for some action on Lake Toho. They booked using a referral from Toho Marina and I did everything I could not to disappoint on another slow bite day. We trolled shiners, point casting artificial lures, and dragged plastic worms on the bottom.

Meanwhile, lake is filling back up due to recent rains and water temps were high 70’s. Winds from the east south east.

The few bass we caught were nice ones and they were very happy with the whole experience. We parted ways with the strong notion we would fish again.

P.S. last photo is Mr. Moth that hung out for entire trip and we also spotted a few alligators.

Mr. George and son Allen from Mobile Alabama area final made that bucket list adventure come true….

They both had a good time out Sunday on Toho and it was a gorgeous day. Had boats all around us most of the time practicing and it wasn’t happening on artificial, in fact, it was slow using shiners too. They both enjoyed those caught, largest bass at five pounds during the end of morning.

Enjoyed our time on the water breathing that fresh air, temperatures were both in the low eighties.

Had the honor taking Mason, Tyler, Sophie, and husband Martin fishing yesterday on Big Toho. This UK family had a good day with several nice bass caught during their first experience in Florida.

Loved hearing “it’s so peaceful from mom and I got him,” from the boys. Mom didn’t fish so I had reinforced instruction and compliments that promoted a near perfect day.

Had a about 7-8 pounds yesterday with my friend Randy in the weekly Sr. Tourney on Toho. We put together a five fish limit, however not enough to cash in. Winner had over twenty pounds and paid four places for 14,11lbs and so on….

After ten days off the water, it was a totally different lake and fish moved. Started in Shingle creek and caught this one displayed: the bite turned off only minutes later. I was expecting the pre-new-moon fish action with rising water. Yea, it’s been raining every other day here for a month.
Water mid lake still stained.
Morning Temps-84, to 88* midday.

Flukes were the go to as the morning progressed and had to grind for those.

Dan Six and son Dan back for more this morning with another twenty bass. Good to be part of their vacation in the sunshine bass state and serve these two gentleman.

Dan, Daniel and Tyler from PA back with us on Toho and in their favorite spot. Over the two days we averaging 20 bass in a four hour period. Several in the five pound range today. Always a pleasure to have them back. Going back at it again tomorrow.
