Did you know? Tucked inside Building H-10, our wood shop is proudly one of the last remaining recreational wood shops sponsored by the U.S. Navy!

Whether you're an experienced woodworker looking to use professional-grade machinery or a complete beginner eager to learn a new craft, our community shop is here for you.

Get hands-on this November with two great workshops just in time for the holiday season:

1. Custom Cutting Board Class
Learn milling, edge-gluing, and food-safe finishing techniques as you build a stunning hardwood cutting or charcuterie board.
Ideal for home chefs and holiday entertaining!

2. Pen Turning Workshop
Craft your own custom, high-end wooden pen from scratch using the lathe!
Perfect beginner-friendly project and makes an incredible handmade gift.

Who can participate? Open to all eligible MWR patrons (Active Duty, Reservists, Retirees, DoD Civilians, and family members, any minors will require a parent/guardian to be present.)

Join NSA Maine MWR for our annual Trunk or Treat! Bring the whole family dressed in your favorite Halloween costumes for an evening packed with treats, decorated trunks, and festive community fun.

Adventure is out there, even on a ten-minute restroom stop!

Our MWR trips are more than just the main event; they're about the hidden gems you discover along the way. Last weekend, after a fantastic barbeque dinner, we took a short drive to visit the incredible "Mrs. Skipper." The weather was perfect for showing this amazing spot to our military members who were visiting for the first time.

What a spooktacular weekend!

We're still glowing after our trip to the Jack-o'-lantern Spectacular at the Roger Williams Park Zoo! Our MWR guests enjoyed a magical one-mile walk surrounded by over 5,000 intricately carved pumpkins. We got our steps in while grooving to peppy music and admiring the unbelievable artistry on display.

Facility Upgrades - Outdoor Fitness Courts Resurfaced. Get ready to serve, shoot, and smash, NSA Maine!

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that our MWR Outdoor Tennis, Basketball, and Pickleball Courts have been completely resurfaced and are officially open for action! Whether you are looking to get a high-energy pickup game going or you are practicing your pickleball dinks with friends, these new courts are pristine, leveled, and waiting for you.

A massive shoutout to the commanding leadership, the ROICC team, and our hard-working MWR staff who coordinated behind the scenes to complete this project.
