Footprints Food Pantry

We are so grateful to the Marshwood Class of 2027 for their generous donation to Footprints!

The Junior Class, in partnership with the Marshwood Interact Club, raised these funds through concession sales at a recent event and chose to donate the proceeds to Footprints in recognition of our ongoing support of Marshwood students and families.

It is especially meaningful to see young people investing in the well-being of their own community and helping ensure local families have access to nutritious food. Thank you, Marshwood Class of 2027! 💚

A huge thank you to our incredible Monday Meal Prep volunteers for their amazing productivity in the kitchen!

Here's what this team recently accomplished:

🥖 Packaged 150 bags of toasted soup & salad croutons
🍪 Bagged 5 cases of cookie dough
🥣 Prepared 14 tubs of croutons for toasting
🫘 Packaged 75 quarts of homemade baked beans for menu service
🍞 Packaged 45 quarts of breadcrumbs for clients to enjoy
🍽️ Prepared and assembled 110 individual meals for delivery clients
🍽️ Prepared and assembled 54 additional meals for the menu counter

Every bag packed, meal assembled, and ingredient prepared helps ensure our community has access to nutritious, ready-to-enjoy food. We're very grateful for the time, energy, and care our volunteers bring to Footprints each week. Thank you for making this work possible and for helping us nourish our community!

Community Supper Menu - Thursday, May 28th: Marinated roasted pork tenderloins with mustard sauce, ginger sweet potato mash, and green beans! Join us from 4-5pm for dine-in or takeout at our market, located at 22 Shapleigh Road. As always, everyone is welcome.

Footprints will be closed on Monday, May 25th, in observance of Memorial Day. As we pause for the holiday, we remember and honor the individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive signs are officially posted throughout Kittery and Eliot!

Join us THIS SATURDAY, May 9th, for the nation's largest single-day food drive!

You can support your community by placing a box or bag of food items by your mailbox. Our local letter carriers and Footprints volunteers will do the rest!

You can also drop off food donations at your local post office or at the Footprints Market from 10am-4pm. Unable to participate that day? We will accept donations throughout the following week.

Our volunteers and mail carriers will pickup donations from mailboxes starting at 8:30am on Saturday, 5/9. Please refer to our weekly donation hours below to drop off a donation throughout the following week:

Monday: 9am-12pm
Tuesday: 7am-7pm
Wednesday: 8am-6pm
Thursday: 8am-2pm
Friday: 8am-1pm

To make the greatest impact, we are currently focusing on items that are in high demand but often harder for us to source:
- Nut butters and jelly
- Canned or pouched tuna and chicken
- Nuts and protein-rich snacks
- Assorted pastas
- Cooking oil
- Spices and seasonings
- Coffee and tea
- Broth and stock
- Sauces and condiments
- Toothbrushes and toothpaste
- Diapers and wipes
- Tampons and pads
- Manual can openers
- Ready-to-eat meals
- Gluten-free and allergen-free products

If you've contributed in past years or are thinking about participating for the first time this year, thank you--community support like this makes our work possible.

Our community supper programming is able to continue without interruption thanks to D Madden and Christian, our fantastic volunteers who will step in to lead the meals!

Between February and April, our team of volunteers prepared more than 1,300 packaged meals for the market. Made fresh every other Monday, these meals are available throughout the week in the market and included in home grocery deliveries, helping ensure consistent access to ready-to-eat, nourishing food.

In our past meal prep session, Footprints’ volunteers made 225 sandwiches, 205 dinners, 50 bags of croutons, and prepped 8 tubs of croutons for our market and delivery clients!
