Join us this month at the downtown branch, Thursday, October 29th from 5:30 PM - 7:45 PM for our Sashiko Stitching event, courtesy of the Society of Creative Anachronism!
This hands on workshop will cover the historical method of Sashiko Stitching. A decorative embroidery and repair method from the Edo Period of Japan (1603-1867). Traditionally it is done on indigo blue cloth with white cotton thread.
The Society for Creative Anachronism returns with historical crafts and seminars! Join us each month for exciting and inspiring lessons at the Downtown Library!
Registration is optional, but it helps us determine how many people to expect and how many supplies we need. Entry for this event will prioritize participants who have registered. Click the link below to learn more: • https://forms.gle/u9QyWbPenbQjCF1S9
