Mrs. Johnson's first grade class at Whiteman Elementary learned about the 5 senses. They had a taste test to experience bitter, sweet, sour, and salty foods! 😋

What did the students think about the different tastes? Take a look at their expressions, and you will be able to tell they had mixed reactions to the different options! 😃

Through our Project Partners program, KNHS students Abigail and Hannah are completing three rotational internships this school year through a partnership with Whiteman Air Force Base! 🌟

After going through the interview process and taking their oath, the girls began their first internship at Stars and Strikes Bowling Center, where they have been learning valuable job skills and gaining hands-on work experience.

Alongside their supervising teacher, Mr. Smith, Abi and Hannah have worked hard throughout the first quarter, and we are proud of all they have accomplished. Way to go, Abi and Hannah! 👏

A special thank you to our partners at Whiteman Air Force Base for helping provide these valuable learning opportunities for our students. We appreciate your continued support! 🧡🖤

Mrs. Kent hosted a "Creepy Crawly" Library Night at KNE with preschool-2nd grade families!🐍📖

Middle school student, Rowyn, was a guest speaker for the evening. With the help of her parents, Rowyn brought her pet python and presented facts about snakes and how to care for them.

Students had a blast petting the python, reading Eric Carl's book, "The Greedy Python," and creating their own python craft!

Congratulations to our Panther Pride Marching Bands! 👏🖤🧡🏆

The Panther Pride Marching Bands had a great day at the Odessa Marching Invitational this weekend! The MS and HS Marching bands each gave great performances in various sections of competition. Our Baton Twirler, Hannah, also gave another stellar exhibition during the Indoor Guard show!

MS Parade - 1st Place
HS Parade - 2nd Place
HS Indoor Percussion - 5th Place
HS Field Show - 6th Place

We want to thank all the parents who assisted in making yesterday’s competition a successful day. Whether it was preparing meals for students, loading the trailer and transporting equipment, or cheering us on through performances, we are grateful for the support of our community!

The Band has two more busy weeks of performances before the season concludes. This upcoming Friday’s home football game will include 8th Grade Band Night and the Lights Out Show, and the following weekend the KNHS Band will travel to St. Louis to attend the Marquette Marching Festival.
