“This was a large very active and fluid incident that was a heavy lift for both agencies and they handled everything very well,” firefighters said. See more photos here: https://fox8.com/news/carrollton-firefighters-rescue-person-injured-by-auger-atop-grain-silo/

This is why we train! Come join us on Monday nights. Our communities count on us 👍

Earlier today, Guilderland EMS responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a car off the roadway in the town of Knox. This was a complex scene that required a highly coordinated effort from multiple emergency and law enforcement agencies.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to our partners for their assistance on-site:

🔹 FIRE & EMS: Knox Volunteer Fire Company and Helderberg Ambulance Squad
🔹 LAW ENFORCEMENT: New York State Police , Albany County Sheriffs Office , New York State Park Police
🔹 AERO-MEDICAL: LifeNet of New York
🔹 DISPATCH: Albany County Communications, Guilderland Police Communications

Two patients were treated at the scene; one was transported via ground ambulance and the other via helicopter.

The safety of our community is a team effort, and we are grateful for the seamless cooperation between all agencies involved.
