NOTICE: DUST CONTROL ENDING
Effective immediately, the County Engineer has authorized rocking and blading dust control spots due to the recent weather and pending forecasts. This will allow maintenance operations to be more efficient while taking advantage of the moisture as conditions allow and to address the many issues arising within dust control spots. This decision waives the October 1 deadline, defined in the Dust Control Policy, for limited maintenance on applicable dust control locations. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope you understand this season being cut short by one week.

🚫RESTRICTED WIDTH🚫
T17 will be one lane with an 11 ft. restricted width beginning Monday, 9/14/26 from G46 to 216th Pl. The work to replace the bridge approaches with new reinforced concrete is anticipated to take 2.5 weeks. Restricted width signage will be posted at G46 and 216th Place for vehicles or equipment over 11' to find an alternate route.

STORM REPORT:
Nearly every gravel road has washing with most of the county receiving 3-8 inches of rain overnight. Some also have rutting from overtopping as well. Motor graders are blading, truck drivers are hauling rock, trees are being removed from roads and a crew is working on paved shoulder wash outs. It will take time to get over everything, thank you for your patience.

Dubuque Dr. and Elk Horn Dr. are both closed between Otley and Park Hills due to flooding.

🚧T17 in the 1100 block of Elevator Road will be one lane, controlled by traffic signals for 1 week beginning today. This work is to removed and replace a segment of roadway and install subgrade and drainage improvements.

G28 in the 1400 block will be one lane beginning tomorrow for 1-2 days for Marion County Conservation utility repair.

Second application Dust Control begins this week. Operators are prepping these locations as necessary. The County’s obligation for dust control is rocking and blading. All other issues are that of the vendor of your choosing.
