Associate Professor Candace Brakewood and her team have received an Arnold Ventures grant to support a research project examining New York City’s congestion pricing program, an approach intended to reduce traffic while generating revenue for the region’s transportation system.

CEE have solved a 40-year-old problem in cell culturing!

Research Associate Professor Larry Millet's lab developed Cell-Like Adhesion through Matrix-Polymer Substrates (CLAMPS). This new framework finally allows scientists to grow and study magnocellular neurons--a particularly finicky type of cell involved in everything from child labor to diabetes.

Congratulations to our Grand Challenge Scholar Graduates! 🎓 👏 The NAE Grand Challenge Scholars Program is an international initiative established by the National Academy of Engineering to prepare engineering students to tackle some of the world's most pressing challenges.

Through the program, gain experience in research, interdisciplinary coursework, entrepreneurship, global awareness, and social responsibility while connecting their technical education to real-world needs. Each received a medallion to wear at commencement, along with a letter from the President of the NAE.
