Lionezz Behind the Walls | Trauma Informed Impact for Women, Families & Communities

We don’t just run a program, we support women in healing their mindset, their voice, and their future. Through our Behind the Walls Programming, Lionezz creates a trauma informed space where justice impacted women learn to regulate, reflect, lead, and grow.
For two years, our healing centered approach has created space for women to rebuild identity, practice emotional regulation, and step into leadership — even in the most challenging environments.
Our work focuses on strengthening emotional regulation, mindset, communication, and leadership core competencies that directly influence a woman’s ability to navigate custody, reentry, and long term stability.

The impact extends far beyond the facility.
When a woman heals, her children feel it.
Her family feels it.
Her community feels it.
Lionezz Reentry continues this support after release, helping women reconnect with resources, rebuild their lives with clarity, and transition back into their communities with confidence and purpose.

For funders and partners, Lionezz represents a high value, trauma informed intervention that strengthens public safety, reduces instability, and supports generational healing. This is the work that changes outcomes, not just for individual women, but for the systems and communities surrounding them.

This is what transformation looks like.
This is what dignity sounds like.
WE ARE THE ROAR.

My Daughter’s Journey, Inc. is taking three of our Diamondz on a Spring Break Leadership Exposure Trip to Charlotte, NC from March 13–15. These girls have shown exceptional maturity, emotional regulation, and civic engagement this year, and they have earned this opportunity.

To ensure a safe and structured weekend, we are seeking support to cover two hotel rooms for two nights at the Hilton Garden Inn SouthPark, located in a safe, youth‑appropriate area of Charlotte.
Total needed: $544.

All donations are tax‑deductible and go directly toward lodging for the girls. If you or your business would like to sponsor or contribute toward this leadership experience, please message me directly or email me at [email protected]

Thank you for supporting youth who are doing the work and showing up with excellence. 💜

Peyton and Miracle represented Diamondz with professionalism and confidence at night’s Knoxville City Council Meeting. They engaged fully in the civic process, took notes, and demonstrated the leadership qualities we work to cultivate every day.

I appreciate Dr. Vivian Underwood Shipe for recognizing their presence and offering encouraging words. The girls enjoyed meeting you and valued the opportunity to capture the moment.

We remain committed to providing youth with meaningful exposure to civic spaces and opportunities to develop their voice and leadership.

Crime Is a Public Health Crisis — and the responses I’ve received over the last 24 hours remind me why this conversation matters.
When people from economic mobility, community service, justice systems, and lived‑experience communities all lean in, it tells me something important: We are all seeing the same patterns, even if we’re standing in different rooms.
What we call “crime” is often the visible outcome of things we don’t talk about enough:
instability
untreated trauma
economic pressure
lack of safe housing
generational disconnection
systems that respond after harm instead of before
These aren’t political issues.
They’re human issues.
And when we frame crime as a public health crisis, we’re not excusing harm we’re expanding the conversation to include the conditions that produce it.
Public health asks different questions:
What happened before the harm
What support was missing
What systems failed
What healing is needed
What stability must be built
What prevention looks like in real life
This is the work I’ve lived, witnessed, and carried for decades, from shelters to courtrooms to community rooms to mentoring spaces. And the more we talk about crime through a public‑health lens, the more we create space for solutions that actually work.
I’ve spent decades walking with young women, families, and communities through the realities behind the headlines. When we shift the frame, we shift the outcomes. Healing is where safety begins.
Thank you to everyone who engaged with the first post.
Your voices; from justice, community, economic mobility, and lived experience, show that this conversation is not only necessary, but shared

PUBLIC UPDATE FROM MY DAUGHTER’S JOURNEY INC

Thank you to everyone who has reached out with support, encouragement, and solidarity. We want to be clear:

We stand firmly by our public statement

Every detail we shared is grounded in documentation, timelines, and written communication.
Our termination with cause, our concerns, and our experiences with the City of Knoxville’s YHDP partnership are all fully supported by the record.

We will not be engaging in private calls or back‑channel conversations regarding this matter.
Our statement speaks for itself, and we remain aligned with truth, transparency, and the safety of the youth we serve.

Our focus now is forward:

Yvonne’s Legacy Cottage opens January 2026.
A sanctuary for 18–24 year olds impacted by homelessness, foster care, and the justice system.
A space rooted in dignity, safety, and equity — not silence or politics.

We remain steady.
We remain grounded.
And we remain committed to the work.

"Equity Has No Corners"

12/07/2025

Someone who has never been taught to honor the weight of survival. May see discomfort as defiance, and control as love. May have survived their own storms but never learned how to shelter others in theirs.

But the real question—the one my life answers every day—is:

Who rises from that street with no home, no money, no place to go… and builds a movement?

I did.

I turned abandonment into advocacy.
I turned silence into curriculum.
I turned “get out” into “come in, you belong here.”

My story isn’t just a testimony—it’s a blueprint.
Every worksheet, ritual guide, and branded flyer I create is a door for someone else who’s been pushed out.

🦁 *We are the roar.*
💎 *We are the legacy.*
🌅 *We are thriving beyond the storm.*
