Sterchi Elementary is excited to host our second RIF – Reading Is Fun event, and we would love your help in making it a joyful and memorable experience for our students!

Friday, May 15, 2026 | 8:00am - 10:00am | Sterchi Cafeteria

During this special event, every student will have the opportunity to choose a book to take home and keep. This simple gift can spark a lifelong love of reading, and your support helps make that possible.

We are seeking volunteers to assist with:
Set Up: Placing books on the tables for the appropriate grades
Helping students browse and select books
Write Students Names in the Book
Organizing book tables and keeping them filled
Offering encouragement and engaging with students about reading
Clean Up: Pack up the left over books and return them to the library

Your time and enthusiasm will make a meaningful difference. Whether you can volunteer for an hour or the entire event, we deeply appreciate your contribution.

Kona Ice will be at our Sterchi field days!

Sterchi Students will be treated to a free kiddie sized snow cone curtesy of the Sterchi PTO.
Sterchi Staff will receive a free Klassic sized snow cone curtesy of Kona Ice of Knox County.
Parents and chaperones can purchase additional snow cones if they wish!
