It is ran by volunteers of all faiths, dedicated to helping connect you with your ancestors.

Climbing the Family Tree

Welcome to our new page! The Knoxville Family History Center is located at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) located at 400 Kendall Rd. in Knoxville, TN. We are staffed by volunteers of all faiths and are always looking to have more volunteers. We are a free service to the community. At the FHC (Family History Center) you will find hundreds of books, microfilm, and and local histories for your research. We have several computers accessible for family history research purposes, including (free to you) subscriptions to ancestry.com, familysearch,com, and many other websites and programs.

We are open Tues 10-4; 6-8, Wed & Thur from 11 am-3pm, and every 3rd Sat from 10am-1pm. Ring buzzer at back door for entry. Please call in case of inclement weather (snow, storms, etc) or if schools are closed due to inclement weather. Feel free to contact us for more information.
