Today is the Primary Election Day. Go to the polls if you have not already. Voting is your right and duty as a citizen. Our precinct polling place is open at Dogwood Elementary School. Run, do not walk, there.

Another fun day canvassing. We hit 37 houses and registered a woman to vote who had never voted. Many thanks to Ken Stevenson and Denis Gould for joining today.

Folks have been concerned about this new law and our canvassing events. This law applies only to paid organizations that register people to vote. We are volunteers. And this law will be challenged. I can't imagine it will be upheld.
BREAKING: We just filed a lawsuit challenging Tennessee's new voter registration restriction law.
The law violates freedom of speech, freedom of association, due process, and the fundamental right to vote under the First and Fourteenth Amendments and violates the National Voter Registration Act.
