What a morning! Big night ahead for the Vols!

So many great memories with this crew! It was so special to be able to see Lady Vol and Vol greats and in Charlotte. The fact that Annie and Harper stayed happy through a whole meet is a great sign for their parents - lots more meets in their future!

Spent an incredible morning laughing until my face hurt and catching up with my very first strength coach Sonny Falcone, who wrapped up an amazing 50 year playing and coaching career at Duke this summer. It was a thrill to have him spend time with Ben, Coleman and Kim. The Falcone-Kredich connection goes all the way back to 1953 when his dad Carmen was the running backs coach for my father at Duke as well. Wish I had a tape recorder going for the story about the punishment given to the kicker after the missed PAT, the night in the Knoxville jail, and the best remedy for post-open heart surgery, but some stories just have to stay in the family. God bless Sonny Falcone.

Nice recognition for the amazing student athletes who committed many months ago, and now have been working really hard for 5 weeks to make this team better. Also, incredible work by recruiting coordinator a fantastic coach, devoted family man, and tireless worker, in his first recruiting class for the women. Can’t wait to see what this class does in the next four years!

The 29th anniversary has been customarily celebrated with the exchange of tools between the married couple. Grant Wood captured this moment beautifully in 1930. Kim and I are happy to recreate this iconic image 91 years later with a more modern tool. Happy Anniversary to the love of my life!
