Knox County Parks & Recreation is hiring for two Grounds Maintenance positions!
🌿 Part-time Groundskeeper | $17/hr
Join our weekend crew at beautiful Concord Park. Responsibilities include:
• Operating mowers, tractors, trimmers, and other power equipment
• Trimming and removing brush and trees
• Mowing grass and maintaining paths, parking lots, facilities, benches, and park equipment
• Removing litter and debris
• Applying pesticides/insecticides as needed
• Driving County vehicles
🚜 Full-time Grounds Maintenance Crew Leader | $21.90/hr
Lead grounds maintenance crews at parks throughout Knox County. Responsibilities include:
• Supervising and assisting work crews
• Tree, brush, stump, rock, and debris removal
• Mowing, landscaping, and excavating
• Installing and repairing fences, gates, park equipment, water and drain lines
• Maintaining and repairing County equipment and vehicles
• Working with concrete, landscape timbers, mulch, posts, cables, and chains
• Reading grades and elevations and completing related grounds maintenance tasks
• Driving County vehicles to work sites
🚙 Both positions require a valid Tennessee driver’s license.
