On 10/03/2026, at approximately 1:36am, Kooskia Ambulances 1 & 2 were dispatched to the area of Ridge Wood Drive and Blackbird Drive for a report of an injury vehicle accident.

Both occupants were transported to the appropriate medical facility by both, Kooskia Ambulance and Life Flight Network.

After 45 years in EMS, Advanced EMT Betty Metcalf has completed her last shift and is officially retired!

In those 45 years, Betty has served the citizens of the Clearwater Valley both at Kamiah Ambulance and Kooskia Ambulance.

We appreciate you and all you have done for our communities over the years. We wish you the best in your retirement Betty!

Kooskia Fire Department, Stites Fire Department and Kooskia Ambulance are on scene of a structure fire on Main Street in Stites.

Main Street is closed at this time, avoid the area.

On this day, 25 years ago over 2,000 Americans lost their lives in the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center. In honor of the fallen first responders, civilians and those that are still suffering the affects to this day, our EMS & Fire vehicles bear this flag in remembrance and as a vow to never forget the events of that day…God Bless America 🇺🇸

We want to send out a friendly reminder to please contain your pets. We understand that when there is an emergency and you have to call 911 for assistance you may not be able to contain your animals on your own, In this case please advise dispatch if you have animals especially if they are aggressive or protective.

While providing patient care on scene of a medical call, one of our personnel was attacked by a dog resulting in injuries needing sutures.

Friendly or not, during these stressful times, even the nicest animals can react especially when it involves their owners. Please help us keep our personnel safe so we can provide the best care for you when you need our services.
