Thus far, the castle has not been affected by the fires although so many we know have been. Evacuation orders were issued for all of La Canada Flintridge, including the castle, on Wednesday morning (Jan. 8th) but were rescinded for certain parts of LCF, inclusive of the castle, yesterday (Jan. 10th) and power was finally restored. We are, however, prepared should the fire shift or the winds pick back up. Please keep those affected in your thoughts and prayers.
Attached are pictures taken from the ridge above the castle (& between it and the Altadena fires) on Jan. 8th of the surrounding area to better illustrate the castle’s proximity to the fires raging just next door in Altadena.
