Join us for a family-oriented mutual aid event today at the Myrick Park Gun Shelter, from 4pm-7pm! We will have music, poetry, crafts, light refreshments, vendors, raffles, story times, and an enchanted drag show for all ages!

Free items will be available to attendees, including candy, children's costumes, pumpkins, and more!

Last week, The Center received a donation from Linda, who used to dance in the Aruba Carnivals! Our drag closet is now the proud owner of various Carnival dresses, headpieces, and accessories. We also got to hear multiple sentimental stories behind the outfits and play some dress up. Thank you, Linda and friends, for allowing us to repurpose these outfits.

Our drag closet is available to local drag performers at no cost, with the purpose to partially offset how costly drag can be. Please reach out to us at [email protected] to set up a time to pop by! We have a variety of costumes, shapewear, accessories, wigs, shoes, fabric and more!

✨️Free-to-enter raffle highlight!🐦✨️

Join us this Friday, October 23rd 4-7pm at the Myrick Park Gun Club Shelter. (Not the main shelter!) We will have free donated items up for grabs, food, crafts, vendors, story time and a family friendly Echanted drag show! Raffles will be drawn throughout the drag show, which starts at 5:30pm, so show up before then to enter!

We have one basket that does not require any purchasing of tickets to enter. Instead of purchasing a ticket, you will be asked to participate in an activity. Find out more at the event!

This basket includes: a giant cardinal plushie, Birds&Blooms Backyard Basics book and 3 bags of wild bird food, including mealworms, peanuts and a bag of mixed seed.

Enjoy migration season by putting out food in your backyard for our traveler friends! Also be sure to leave your dead flowers heads! The seeds feed our wild birds and other little critters.

Raffle Highlights for our mutual aid event this Friday!

Fall Into Community with us, Friday October 23rd 4pm-7pm at the Myrick Park Gun Club Shelter. (Not the main shelter!) This event is free admission.

We will have crafts and food set up inside the shelter, free donated costumes, bags of candy, canned goods and more. There will be community vendors set up outside as well as a family friendly enchanted drag show that will begin at 5:30pm. Bring your own lawn chair/blanket! It's supposed to be a beautiful day! 🌞

These juicy raffle baskets will be drawn during the drag show, so come before 5:30pm to enter for these prizes! Funds from the raffles will be used towards our next mutual aid event.

Thank you so much to those who donated items/baskets for this event. We can't wait to see you there!
